Dive Xtras Scooters (DPVs) in NZ
Global Dive stocks Dive Xtras diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs), the lightweight, powerful dive scooters used by technical and recreational divers worldwide. See the CudaX and BlackTip in store in Newmarket, or talk to us about which suits your diving.
About Dive Xtras
Founded in 2003, Dive Xtras built its name on innovation. In 2005 they launched the Sierra, which they describe as the first DPV with a brushless motor and electronic speed control, a design that set a new standard for durability and efficiency. Today's range carries that thinking forward in a light, powerful package.
Powered by DeWalt Batteries
Every Dive Xtras scooter runs on standard DeWalt power tool batteries. For Kiwi divers that's a huge advantage. Shipping specialist lithium batteries to New Zealand is slow and expensive, but DeWalt batteries are available from hardware stores here and around the world. Spares are easy to find, replacements are affordable, and when you travel you can often source batteries at your destination.
The Range
- BlackTip Tech: compact and modular, with a Tech tube kit and Travel tube set to suit how and where you dive
- CudaX Tech: the larger, longer-range scooter for serious technical and exploration dives
