The OMS Smartstream is now Global Dive's Best Selling BCD. After thoroughly testing the new system we are pleased to offer the system in multiple wing colours, 2 wing sizes (27lb or 32lb)  and both Aluminium and Stainless Steel versions  

SmartStream was developed to alleviate adjustment challenges which may arise while donning a heavy rig with fixed webbing. By pulling the waist straps forward the shoulder straps secure to the diver’s shoulders and back - proper adjustments are instantly achieved. This uniquely adjustable OMS system allows the use of OMS weight pockets or a place to hold a canister light.

This updated harness uses 3.5m of 5.1cm (2") nylon webbing materials and 316 Stainless Steel D-rings with weight stops are included. Two at chest level and one on the waist. Easily repositioned for optimal configuration with an OMS SS buckle. A 5.1cm (2") sewn crotch strap with a 5.1cm (2") DPV D-ring is also included.

The SmartStream signature system includes a storage back pad with integrated trim weight pouches, padded shoulder straps and integrated weight pockets one of which is the new cargo pocket.

The main difference between the Stainless Steel version and Aluminium is simply the amount of built in ballast. The SS version weighs approx 2kg more than the Ali version, making a firm favourite for Diving in NZ with a thick wetsuit or drysuit.  The Ali version is very popular with travellers or those who do not need a lot of weight to get down.

The 32lb wing offers a bit more lift and is slightly shorter, the 27lb version is slightly narrower and taller. If you are not sure, we would suggest the 32lb version as the extra lift can be useful at the surface.

The Beuchat Comfort range of 7mm wetsuits represent the best combination of styling, comfort and technical excellence. It is for this reason that we have made the decision to stock this suit in store placed at the top of our Wetsuit range. What impressed us about the Beuchat Comfort wetsuit is the quality of the materials used, the excellent fit achieved and the amazing warmth (this is from the team that all wear dry suits so is praise indeed).

Beuchat have developed a Fireskin lining that has to be tried to be believed. This material holds heat and repels water. Many of the divers using these suits are amazed when they remove the suit to find dry patches on it. To restrict water flow through the suit, the Comfort range has Ultra soft Elaskin wrist and ankle seals, plus the Water Dam Sytsem at the back to restrict water flow through the zip.
