The Fourth Element Thermocline Ladies Long Sleeve Top is a versatile front-zip piece for women, offering thermal layering without the limitations of neoprene. It works as a standalone top for surface water sports or warm-water scuba, or layers under a wetsuit for added protection in moderate conditions. Providing the thermal equivalent of 2mm neoprene, it's designed for activities like surfing, freediving, and snorkelling around New Zealand's coasts, where its breathable fabric keeps you comfortable both in and out of the water. The outer layer contains 78% Econyl regenerated nylon from recycled sources like discarded fishing nets, bonded to a waterproof polyurethane membrane and lined with thermal fleece. The full material composition is face: 78% Econyl regenerated nylon / 22% elastane; back: 94% polyester / 6% elastane, ensuring stretch, durability, and sustainability.

This top is lightweight, neutrally buoyant, and hypo-allergenic, making it a great option for those with neoprene sensitivities—it can act as a barrier or full replacement. The inner fleece wicks moisture away from the skin, through the membrane, where it evaporates on the nylon surface. In the water, the membrane traps a thin layer of warm water next to your body, preventing colder flows and maintaining insulation. It dries quickly, often within an hour after a rinse and squeeze, and weighs under 1kg when paired with Thermocline leggings, ideal for travel without creasing or damage.

Care is simple: machine wash at 30°C, and it stores easily with other clothes.
