For those who thirst for adventure in our great outdoors, Fiordland holds many treasures and the diving is no exception.
The spectacular fiords collect a large amount of rainfall creating a freshwater layer many meters thick. The dark and deep nutrient dense waters beneath contain a myriad of species, many of which are only usually encountered at much greater depths in other areas of the country. Fiordland offers the chance for all divers to encounter black coral, yellow cod, hydrocorals and much more.
“The Gut” in Doubtful sound is rated as one of New Zealand’s best dive sites with rare red coral, sea pens and zooanthids amongst the many attractions on show. The currents can be swift outside of slackwater adding to the fun!
If you like the sound of breathtaking diving with stunning colours and life in a beautiful and peaceful location, come and see us about booking on to a trip run with Pete Mesley. The pictures speak for themselves!
