Global Dive Try Dive
Have you been thinking about learning to dive, but are not 100% sure that you can do it? Well, why not attend a try dive with us in the pool to see?
During the pool session you will learn some basic skills both in and out of the water that will allow you to safely enjoy the experience of being underwater.

Our Try Dive course includes the dive professional, any gear you may need and pool fees. We start by meeting at the dive shop, where with help from the instructor, you will gather together your dive kit.
We use the Olympic pool in Newmarket which has a shallow end where we can stand and will do most of the skills, plus a 4.4m deep end where we can go for a swim around once you are ready.
The skills that we will introduce you to are;
- introduction to the scuba unit
- putting it on and adjusting it
- instructor led buddy checks
- regulator skills
- masks skills
- buoyancy skills
- ascent/descents
- equalising
- swimming with scuba
- exits
- post dive equipment care.
