Poor Knights Islands Day Trip w/ Dive Now
What's included:
2 dives, guiding service, sight seeing around the islands, hot drinks.
Availability: In Stock
Meet at Tutukaka Marina, M Pier at 8am on the morning of your dive trip. The Dive Now team will welcome you aboard Arrow where you will show your certification card and fill in the required paperwork. A boat safety brief will be done before heading off to the Poor Knights Marine Reserve. The trip out to the Marine Reserve takes approximately 50 minutes depending on the weather conditions on the day.
Onboard the vessel there is water and hot drinks but lunch is not provided. The vessel has a toilet onboard, a hot water rinse hose, a dry area and a library of marine identification books so you can identify what you have seen on your dive.
The Dive Now team will choose two different dive sites depending on the conditions on the day. The skipper will give you a thorough site briefing including points of interest, wildlife worth looking out for and the best way to navigate the site. Their friendly knowledgeable guides are available if you would like a local set of eyes to point out the local wildlife on the dive site.
Snorkelers are also welcome onboard. There is always a heap of wildlife to see in the shallows and against the walls, and the boat always has fish sheltering under it whilst anchored so you can guarantee that you will be able to get up close with them.
The surface interval between your 2 dives is spent sight seeing around the islands, going through some of the magnificent archways, caves and bays of the Poor Knights and the skippers are always keen to tell you stories relating to the Islands. After a full day of 2 dives and sight seeing you can expect to return to the Tutukaka Marina between 4-5pm.
New Zealand is temperate water diving and you must have dived within the last 12 months – contact us if you need a refresher. All divers must dive within their certification limits.
