Global Dive Newsletter - July 2008

Welcome to the July edition of your dive club's newsletter.

Hands up who hasn't had a cold or flu in the last month. Nobody eh! We'll at least the shortest day is behind us now and Spring is (almost) in the air.

Remember what your Mum says too - the best way to avoid a cold is to stay warm (forget the bit about eating lots of fruit and veg though, I'm convinced that's an urban myth). And there's no better way to stay warm than in one of our rental drysuits with Fourth Element undergarments ;-).

Did I say we're now offering a drysuit option on all courses as well? Even on Open Water.

Dive club meeting

As always the last Monday evening of every month at Global Dive shop here in Westhaven from 6pm onwards.

Dive club meetings are strictly social events - just a BBQ and a few drinks, and chance to chat to some fellow divers looking for dive buddies (or dive buddies with boats). Plus of course there's the monthly guest speaker to inspire you on to great things diving.

This month's dive club meeting is Monday 28 July.

This month's guest speakers

Presenting this month at the Global Dive Club meeting, Ian Skipworth and Pete Mesley are going to make you drool over their amazing photos from their trip that was just completed to the famous Chuuk Lagoon. Second to none for its variety of wrecks in good visibility, warm water and medium depth range, Ian and Pete will present a wealth of Information and photographic footage. Chuuk is a once in a life time experience but most people seem to agree, once you've been there, one must return!
